Lockdowns prevent many people from earning a living, but the politicians, bureaucrats, and police officers who create or enforce such restrictions are all earning their regular paychecks. Seems like an incentive misalignment.
@harding I've noted a change in the narrative, too. It was first "flatten the curve" to prevent overwhelming hospitals, now that is on the wane, its "wait for a vaccine", which is untenable if you have a small business or had a job that was destroyed by lockdowns.
This can't go on like this forever, but the mayors and such seem to have forgotten the financial pain people are in.
Its a travesty, in my opinion.
